FM 106 provides users with a solid understanding of how to import and export PIPE-FLO data from and to spreadsheets using the Data Import and DataLink features. Input data structures and data available for export will be reviewed. Steps for inserting or extracting that data into/from the model will be taught and then put into practice by the student in the virtual lab. Applications for the data export capability will be discussed and demonstrated.

Course Objectives:

• Understand how data is stored in DataLink tables
• Learn how to export data into and from spreadsheet
• Discover ways to use Datalink fields with the DLQ function and Microsoft Query in Excel
• Get hands-on experience with practical exercises

NOTE: FM-106 was formerly a 2 hour "Using DataLink in PIPE-FLO", focusing on exporting data only. Class has been expanded to a 4 hour class to include the Data Import functionality added in v18.
